MARRAKESH STADIUM

The stadium of Marrakesh is one of the largest football and athletics stadiums in Morocco. It is located at Kilometer 11, RN 9 in Marrakech. This stadium can accommodate 45,240 supporters including 36,300 covered. 

After more than seven years of construction, it was officially inaugurated on January 5, 2011 during friendly football games involving two Moroccan teams, the Kawkab of Marrakech and Wydad of Casablanca who played against two French teams, the Olympique Lyonnais and the Paris Saint Germain.

It is the first stadium in the world of rectangular shape but with an athletics track. In addition to the main stadium there is also an annex stadium with a track area of ​​6 lanes with a total capacity of 5 000 seats. Access to the land is assured by sixteen doors and an entrance of honor. For the greatest pleasure of the Marrakchi citizens and the visitors of the city, this stadium also receives sports meetings, concerts as well as gala evenings.
